I have commented on one of the posts "Robots" - Automated Book Delivery System & Virtual Browse.-

My comments read:

It's a great system and gives flexibility to the user and saves time as well. Also saves space the library can make use of for other activities and items. Currently the automated processes in libraries include issuing books to borrowers, retrieving them and returning the items to the relevant shelves at the end of the loan period. There are many other processes within a library that could use the benefit of technology. It's certain that many libraries will no doubt be fully automated in the near future.
